We didn’t start a business to make personal care products. We started it to make a difference. In 2011, millions of children were dying each year from water-related illnesses that could be prevented with hand washing alone. So we got an idea: what if we could create a soap that could also save lives? With that, our BUY ONE, GIVE BACK program (and company) were born.
When it comes to giving back, we believe more is more. So in addition to our BUY ONE, GIVE BACK program, we also partner with two incredible organizations to deepen our impact at the community level. This includes installing and repairing clean water wells as well as recycling and distributing leftover hotel soap.

Bill Glaab and Courtney Apple begin their mission to make a higher quality soap and help mitigate water-related deaths around the globe with a BUY ONE, GIVE BACK program.
Our first trip to Haiti, where we saw firsthand the effect our give back model could have on people’s lives. If we needed any validation for the mission driving our work, this was it.
Our clean water program and partnership with MY NEIGHBOR’S CHILDREN begin, installing and repairing wells that provide thousands of people with clean water every day.
Our efforts expand to Cambodia, in partnership with ECO SOAP BANK, saving wasted hotel soaps from landfills for recycling and redistribution to impoverished communities.
We purchase and donate more sophisticated well-digging equipment to our nonprofit partner in Haiti who begin work digging and repairing 80 new fresh water wells.
